The Spring Training Baseball game has been an old tradition for all the fans of baseball since 1947, under the warm sun of Arizona. Scottsdale is home to the Colorado Rockies, The Arizona Diamonds and San Francisco Giants. The Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamonds train in the Salt Rivers Field, and the San Francisco Giants in Scottsdale Stadium. People from all over the world come to Scottsdale to support their team during the Spring Training. However, in addition to supporting your favorite team, there are a lot of other fun things to do in Scottsdale during the training! When you are not watching the game, there are many other ways to enjoy your stay in Scottsdale. If you are for an adventure go grab a Colombian hot dog from Simon’s Hot Dogs, then head out to explore Old Town Scottsdale that has a really cool Western vibe, great restaurants, bars, a lot of public art, exquisite galleries, museums, native pottery and many more stores to shop souveniers, hot chilli peppers, t-shirts, ice cream from the famous Scottsdale ice-cream parlour, Sugar Bowl and more. At night Old Town is ready for lifenight entertainment with a lot of clubs, bars and great restaurants. Old Town Scottsdale is a nice charming walkable neighborhood that is hard to describe, you need to experiencing it, so definitely go if you have chance!
So now if you are there check it out the The Historic Museum, don’t worry it won’t take long because is a charming tiny museum, The Little Red Schoolhouse, home of the Scottsdale Historical Museum, it is part of the Civic Center plaza. With a lot of artifacts and pictures on display, essentially about the beginning of Scottsdale and their first school. So if you are interesting in learn how Scottsdale got its name or about its beginning here it’s the place. Free Admission however donations are always welcome. Scottsdale Civic Center It’s really Cool park, with a lot of outdoor public art sculptures, statues, ponds, grassy hills, fountains, ducks, benches, pretty flowers, unbealivable relaxing and well taken care park, There are also restaurants, The Saguaro hotel, the public library, the performing arts center, the museum of contemporary art. There is a lot of free parking space so parking is not a problem. This is a really cool park just next door to the Giants’ Stadium, so don’t miss it. The famous LOVE sculpture of Robert Indiana is there on display so it’s time for that great Love picture.
